The 10 day Mangaung African Cultural Festival which is held annually in Bloemfontein, showcases the cream of African and international talent. Macufe is one of the biggest cultural festivals on the African continent.
Bloemfontein Show
Bloemfontein annually hosts the largest agricultural and entertainment show in South Africa. The combination of commerce and agriculture is the success of the show's survival. The show will take place from 26 April to 05 May 2013.
MTN OFM Classic
Central South Africa's biggest cycling race is held annually in Bloemfontein. This 97km gruelling race is not easy, not flat and not slow. You can also join other cyclists for the 39km fun race.
Vryfees
The first Volksblad Arts Festival (now Vryfees) was held in July 2001 as part of the Arts Festival initiative of Media 24. Volksblad and the University of the Free State are partners in the festival. The University of the Free State provides the theatres and physical infrastructure during the festivities, whilst Volksblad takes charge of the marketing and publicity as title sponsor.
